Senior Wireless Surveyor

Job Description

We are looking for 2 Senior Wireless Surveyors for a leading client of ours.

The role is predominantly site based with some follow-up office/desktop work. Travel to and from sites nationwide is an integral part of the job.

They will be joining a very experienced team of talented individuals with expertise across a wide variety of engineering disciplines and proven success in delivering large scale projects.

Role and Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

 Observe client specific site access procedures (log on and off site)
 Carry out risk assessments on site prior to work commencing and report any visible hazards or defects from site by way of a red flag
 Implement control measures as required to enable the survey to be completed in a safe manner
 Obtain & accurately record all existing site information and propose the optimal solution based on client specification and any known constraints
 Complete the following site surveys on Greenfield, CoLo and Rooftop Sites.
o Multi Skilled Visit
o Technical Site Survey
o Pre-Construction Survey / Pre-Installation Visit
o Post Construction Survey
o Structural Climbdown 2nd man in most cases with a Structural engineer

 Survey for new build and upgrade scopes of work
 Survey for passive and active scopes of work
 Propose value engineered solutions for the following elements.
o Civils – Access Tracks, Structure Foundations & Plinths
o Power & Fibre Routes
o Structure Types
o Active Equipment / Solutions
 Collate the information gathered in a concise manner incl. survey notes, sketches, photos and present it clearly for submission to the team
 Compile all project specific reports and associated documentation with a strong focus on quality, deadlines and deliverables
 Liaise with PMO throughout
 Assist with resolving any queries to enable sites to progress to Design as quickly as possible
 Climbing on towers & monopoles

 Setting out using tape & RTK GPS advantageous
 UAV / Drone experience advantageous

Qualifications
 Vendor / Industry training
 Excellent written and spoken English required
Certs
 Safepass
 Climbing & Rescue
 Site Access Certs (ESBT, 2rn, CIE etc.)
 EMF Awareness
 Full clean driving licence
Experience
 2 to 5+ years in engineering or utilities sector
 Exposure to telecoms vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung
 Wireless Telecoms rollout (Survey / Rigging / I&C)
