Job Title: Procurement Administrator
Location: Longstanton
Salary: up to £24,000
Job Type: 6 Month FTC
Our client is a leading provider of expertise to their clients to maintain and continue the development of the infrastructure of both highways and telecommunications sectors throughout the UK.
They are currently looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract, to help process procurement transactions accurately and on a timely basis.
Role Requirements
The Procurement Administrator role will include (but not limited to):
- Process Purchase orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
- Match Goods Received notes to purchase orders accurately and on a timely basis
- Ensure order specification is correctly understood before raising orders
- Review Purchase order requests to ensure consistent with previous similar orders, and in accordance with company policy
- Liaise with yard staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected goods receipts
- Assist Procurement Supervisor in the production of Procurement statistics as well as assisting to identify gaps and delays in the delivery of products/services
- Manage shared inbox and resolve queries
- Contact suppliers to ensure smooth communication and flow of material is maintained
- Resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
Candidate Requirements
The following are desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of fibre optic network materials used by major providers – e.g.Vodafone, Virgin Media, Gigaclear
- Knowledge of civils materials commonly used in the installation of fibre opticnetworks
- Experience of using Purchase Order and Goods receipting software
