Procurement Administrator
Location: Longstanton
Salary: Up to £26k

Our client is a leading provider of expertise to their clients to maintain and continue the development of the infrastructure of both highways and telecommunications sectors throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Administrator to join their expanding team.

Description
Procurement sits centrally within the business and interacts with many different departments and remote sites. The team oversees the strategic side of developing and purchasing assets and services within the company. This role requires regular liaison with external suppliers, internal departments and stakeholders. You will also support with the process of purchase orders on our inhouse procurement system. You will be responsible for processing procurement transactions accurately and on a timely basis.

Responsibilities
• Process Purchase orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
• Ensure order specification is correctly understood before raising orders
• Review Purchase order requisitions to ensure best value for money and in accordance with company policy
• Liaise with yard staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected goods receipts
• Liaise with suppliers
• Assist Procurement Manager in the production of Procurement statistics
• Extract and report off of the purchasing system

Qualifications
The below is essential:
• GCSE passes in Maths and English
The below are desirable but not essential:
• Minimum of 2-3 years purchasing experience
• Knowledge of fibre optic network materials used by major providers – e.g. Virgin Media, Gigaclear, Openreach
• Knowledge of civils materials commonly used in the installation of fibre optic networks
• Experience of using Purchase Order software
• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
• CIPS level 1 or 2 qualification or BTEC Business Studies
