Role: HGV and Plant Administrator
Reporting To: Plant & Fleet Manager
Location: Longstanton, Cambridgeshire
Salary: up to £24k
Type: Full Time/ Perm
Hours: 40 per week
Holiday: 25 days per annum

Our client is a leading provider of expertise to their clients to maintain and continue the development of the infrastructure of both highways and telecommunications sectors throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are currently looking to recruit an HGV and Plant Administrator to join their established team in the Cambridgeshire area.

Reporting to the Plant & Fleet Manager, the role will include:
• HGV Fleet statutory and internal compliance
• Vehicle insurance claims
• Monthly and weekly reports for plant
• Vehicle damage repair claims
• Vehicle and Plant hire Invoice checking
• Supply of Plant
• PPE issue

Role Requirements:
• HGV Fleet compliance ~ 25 vehicles:
– Obtain and file vehicle condition and maintenance information from drivers and vehicle hire companies
– Ensure we have all relevant compliance documents for new vehicles
– Arrange servicing, MOT tests, and file supporting documents

• Damage claims:
– Act as first point of contact for vehicle insurance claims
– Obtain all information relevant to the claims and report to insurer in a timely manner
– Act as first point of contact for progressing the claims
– Review invoices for non-insurance vehicle repairs, challenge as appropriate, and recommend action to Plant & Fleet Manager

• Plant:
– Assist Plant Administrator with the hire, issue and receipt of Plant
– Assist Plant Administrator to ensure accurate Plant records are maintained

• PPE:
– Issue PPE
– Keep record of PPE issued
– Perform PPE stock counts

• Cost control:
– Check validity of Plant and Vehicle hire invoices
– Throughout the month review fuel card records for errors, evidence of excessive purchases etc. and report issues to Plant & Fleet Manager
– Prepare monthly fuel and mileage report
– Prepare monthly plant hire report

• Absence cover for other areas of the Plant & Fleet department
