Role: Ground Operations Assistant
Location: Leicester- rural location so full UK driving licence and access to own transport will be essential
Salary: £21k
Job Type: Full Time Perm

Job Summary: The Ground Operations Assistant works alongside our dynamic and forward-thinking operations team, providing support to all areas of the business, predominantly airside operations. Maintaining superior hygiene levels at our Leicester Airport base, carefully and following strict standard operating procedures particularly when it comes to cleaning of aircraft interiors and avionics, refuelling and entering tech records data. Responsibilities include flight scheduling and practical duties in the hangar and office areas.

Key responsibilities and duties:
● Managing fuel and oil stock levels
● Fuel quality checks
● Handling deliveries of fuel and all goods
● Visiting aircraft handling
● Ground handling of aircraft
● Tech records (ensuring compliance with aircraft technical documents)
● Cockpit camera and airside technology upkeep
● General maintenance of the buildings and grounds
● Management of company vehicles
● Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility including aircraft, simulators, hangar, and offices
● Cleaning of floors, rooms, surfaces and equipment, including dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming
● Routine cleaning of kitchen and toilet areas, including restocking of dispensers, emptying bins, cleaning and sanitising fixtures
● Performing stock checks on hygiene equipment and supplies
● Re-stocking and maintenance of hygiene equipment and supplies.
● Monitoring and maintaining sanitation and organisation of assigned areas
● Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment
● Using specialist cleaning equipment for use on aircraft (training will be provided)

Qualifications: A background in aviation would be preferred, good situational awareness, practical skills, common sense, problem solving. Driving licence essential.

A background in ground work or labour would be preferred.
Working Hours : Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Friday, typically 08:30 – 17:30

Salary : Salary commensurate with experience
