Our well-established Telecoms client have extensive expertise in delivering a wide range of innovative services and solutions for both fixed and wireless network infrastructure.

Due to expansion and growth, they are currently looking for an experienced Fibre Supervisor to join their team located in Southend.

Role Summary

The Fibre Supervisor will drive the Fibre Installation programme, by supervising the Fibre Contractor on Fibre Installation and Testing.

Our team will take orders from a completion of civils through to End-to-End testing of the Fibre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supervision of Fibre Operative teams
Making sure all technical requirements are fulfilled from the teams
Interacting with the clients’ representatives
Taking critical decisions during the everyday activities
Resolving technical issues
Establishing strong relationship with the everybody involved in the project
Maintaining in-depth, current knowledge of equipment and network architecture
Reporting of the full working process on field
Maintaining workflow process reports with back-office support
Maintaining safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
Enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

To do this as a professional, you should match with following requirements:
Be able to understand designs and spot corrections/problems
Send reports and capture daily issues
Update clients on productivity
Inform Delivery Managers about obstacles and potential problems for the build
Go on walkouts and be able to spot issues with future designs
Collect data needed for As-builts and help with the delivery of projects to clients
NRSWA Supervisor qualification
Experience with risk assessments and method statements
Knowledge of BTOR infrastructure and procedures
BT overground and underground certifications
Knowledge in the fields of fibre blowing, splicing, aerial cabling, PIA
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Driving License
IT skills – word, excel
Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Commitment, motivation and proactivity

Additional Information
The salary band for this position will be £38k-£45k- depending on experience
The successful candidate will be expected daily in Southend as the Fibre Supervisor will need to attend site where needed
There is access to pool vehicles- however, a van (solely for business use) may be arranged
The project runs from Monday to Saturday- with some cases where needed Sundays and Night works- anything additional to standard hours will be paid as overtime.
