Job Title: Fibre Project Manager

Location: Home/Office Split (Offices based in Berkshire, Limerick, South East Wales)

Salary: £45,000-£48,000

Job Type: Full Time, Perm 

 

Established for over 20 years, our client continues to be a vital network and infrastructure partners to both fixed and mobile carriers across the enterprise sector. Through continued growth and progression, they have expanded globally.

 

Due to this continued growth, they are looking for a Fibre Project Manager to lead the Project Team and act as the primary client interface alongside the Director of Fibre Services and/or UK Head of Fibre Services or Portfolio Manager.

 

The role is office and home based and will involve travel to and from Limerick, Magor and Slough. The role will involve a good deal of travel to attend regular customer meetings throughout the UK & Ireland as and when required in support of project delivery expectations.

 

 

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Ensure the project is delivered in compliance with current H&S Regulations
  • Manage the delivery of the project from start to finish including Client acceptance
  • Responsible for the P&L of the project and meeting project GM targets
  • Ensure customers’ expectations are fulfilled & build confidence & trust
  • Build & lead project team
  • Manage project scope, budget & schedule
  • Define resource requirements
  • Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing of the project
  • Define & continually improve project processes
  • Apply new technology in an innovative way to streamline delivery processes
  • Develop new business opportunities via excellence in work delivered
  • Establish, refine & evolve project tracking & reporting tools
  • Project reporting to
  • Drive program delivery from one phase to the next
  • Manage partners/suppliers/sub-contractors & review performance
  • Support the SHEQ Manager as required, always ensuring compliance with Company Policy
  • Liaise with client on site designs & technical requirements
  • Support the commercial team in preparing quotations and bids
  • Compile GRN Claim for submission at month end to facilitate prompt invoicing and minimise WIP accrual

 

Candidate Requirements

  • 10-15 years in customer facing delivery roles during FTTh network rollouts
  • Excellent knowledge of FTTh Network Design, Consenting, Wayleaving & Build phases
  • Excellent written and spoken English required
  • Full clean driving licence
  • PMP or Prince2 or Project Management P.G Dip or Masters
  • Evidence of on-going professional development
  • Excellent leadership skills to bring the best out of local and remote team members
  • Client focused attitude & excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing & diplomacy skills
  • Self-motivated, assertive and enthusiastic
