Our client is a dynamic, delivery-focussed project management company providing end to end solutions for the UK’s mobile and fixed line network operators.


Due to a period of continued growth, they are currently looking to recruit a Fibre Project Manager to be based at their offices in Cambridge. The Fibre Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of Fibre Telecoms projects and will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, and summarising the progress of projects. The successful candidate will need to be experienced in a similar customer facing role, with a good knowledge of the financial aspects and reporting elements of the Project lifecycle.


Role Requirements

  • Managing the resource available on the project and prioritising workload.
  • Co-ordinating and utilising field resources efficiently.
  • Managing and co-ordinating third-party contractors.
  • Planning the project to deliver within the constraints of time, cost, and quality.
  • Anticipate and capture deviations from plan or schedule early and keep all affected parties informed, propose & implement solutions
  • Obtain in a safe manner field data to facilitate the design and drafting process.
  • Develop relationships with client contacts.
  • Obtain and utilise expertise in client technical specifications and systems to facilitate the successful delivery of the project.
  • Project Reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies.
  • Any other duties that the company may reasonably determine from time to time.



Candidate Requirements

  • Proven technical and project management abilities
  • Strong organisational and management skills
  • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
  • Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
  • Understanding of cost and value
  • Understanding of programming
  • Relevant Fibre and Telecoms training to current standards
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to use initiative
