Job Title: Acquisition Surveyor
Location: Altrincham or Theale
Salary: £35,000-£38,000
Job Type: Full Time, Perm

Having played a major part in the UK Telecoms industry for over 20 years, our client is a dynamic infrastructure delivery and management consultancy who service some of the biggest names in the UK Telecoms industry.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking to recruit an Acquisition Surveyor to join their well-established team, to be based either at their office in Altrincham or Theale.
The Acquisition Surveyor will be working effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team negotiating to achieve the various ‘acquisition’ objectives of the project and/or client.

Role Requirements
The role of the Acquisition Surveyor will include (but not limited to):
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring the acquisition objectives are completed within the timescale and parameters dictated by KPIs
• Work with other disciplines including Planning, Design and Construction to obtain a thorough knowledge of the project to ensure acquisition is contributing to the overall success of the project
• Participate in continuous improvement & providing innovative new suggestions for both the Company and the Clients- particularly in the area of acquisition.
• Progression of site instructions for Clients from inception to site completion. Instructions may include new search and acquisition, negotiating upgrades & assignments or decommissioning negotiations.
• Negotiate property rights on new and existing agreements including market rentals, additional equipment rights, frequency restrictions, assignments & early termination
• Progress acquisition or decommission activities in compliance with Client KPI’s
• Provide high-quality, professional acquisition advice to both internal and external stakeholders
• Undertake investigation, prepare & submit reports on suitable sites for client consideration
• Negotiate suitable terms with site provider or their agent, reaching agreement within the client’s parameters & KPIs
• Identify suitable back up options (if any), should the preferred option not proceed
• Co-ordinate & attend multi-site visits (MSVs) with both internal & external stakeholders
• Timely & accurate recording of information on internal and client databases
• Prepare high-quality, accurate reports for both internal & external distribution as required
• Understand, promote, and comply with the Company QA, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures

Candidate Requirements
• Degree qualified in Estate Management, Land Surveying, or a related discipline
• Membership of RICS or progressing application highly desirable
• Relevant work experience in a professional services environment
• Experience within the UK Telecommunications industry highly desirable (not essential)
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to complete deals to the satisfaction of all parties
• Sound conflict resolution skills & ability to overcome grievances
• Ability to analyse data/information, interpret & report on results or findings
• Strong commercial awareness & business acumen
• Flexible & professional approach to work
• Self-motivated, confident & organised
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all relevant stakeholders
• Ability to handle heavy workload & competing priorities whilst meeting performance expectations
• Have a full driving licence and be able to attend site visits, client meetings and planning meetings as required including overnight stays, occasional long journeys and evening planning committee meetings when workload dictates.
• Sound IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
